Banjarbaru, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - State-owned airport operator PT Angkasa Pura (AP) I is now expanding Syamsudin Noor Airport Terminal as an effort to improve its service.


Personnel and General Manager of PT Angkasa Pura I Syamsudin Noor Airport, Nurul Huda, here on Thursday said the expansion of the terminal has been carried out since the beginning of January.

"The expansion of the terminal to cost Rp23 billion already started to build a new terminal for arrivals for all flights," he said.

If the new arrival terminal building completed by the end of 2015, the old terminal will immediately be dismantled and the arrivals activity to be moved to the new building.

According to him, the old terminal condition both departures and arrivals are not feasible. Departure terminal capacity ranging from 1,500 to 2,000 people, whereas the number of passengers reached 5,000 to 6,000 people per day.
