Pelaihari, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Regent Tanah Laut, H Bambang Alamsyah, said to help the availability of electricity in the sub-district of Bumi Makmur, the local government plans to build a wind power plant.
"Currently, we have proposed it to the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), so that wind power plant to be built in 2017 in the sub-district of Bumi Makmur," said H Bambang Alamsyah, while attending the 2014 Budget Monitoring and Evaluation at the Regent Office Building Sarantang Saruntung, Tuesday (13/1).
According to him, the proposed power plant to Bappenas is 2 x 100 mega watts.
"The reason we chose the sub-district of Bumi Makmur as a place for wind power plant, because the wind is strong enough in that area," said the regent.
With the wind power plant, the availability of electricity in the sub-district can be resolved. "In fact, if the power used for the local community still excess, it can be sold to PT PLN," he said.
