Regent of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H. Achmad Fikry, Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad, Chairman of HSS Ulema Council (MUI) TGH Muhammad Riduan Baseri attended the first COVID-19 vaccination for Forkopimda (the district leadership communication forum) and MUI at the regent hall.
Head of Health Agency dr. Hj. Siti Zainab here on Tuesday said the first to receive COVID shot were public figures from the district government, Forkopimda, and MUI.
"But later depending on the results of screening on table two, if they can be vaccinated they continue to table three to be vaccinated, but if the doctor says not yet, will be postponed, maybe will be given the next turn," she said.
Vaccination was carried out in stages, namely registration, screening, injection, observation, and the last stage participants wait for 30 minutes to find out the effect of the vaccination.

Before being given to the public, vaccination must first be given to public officials (Forkopimda) and MUI. This is done to dispel doubts and strengthen public confidence in the safety and halal of the vaccine.
"In order to accelerate the handling of COVID-19 pandemic, the government carries out vaccinations to increase immunity for individuals and groups, as well as to maintain public health so it can break the chain of COVID-19 transmission," she said.
HSS Regent H. Achmad Fikry appealed to the public to attend the vaccination. "If there is information that is not clear enough please ask do not let the issue to develop," he said.
