While central government's policy to stop receiving e-KTP applicant does not affect Banjarmasin, and the agency continues to provide services, said Head of Disdukcapil Khairul Saleh on Tuesday.

He said the termination of e-KTP distribution is not for its printing. It is the result of the Technical Coordination Meeting (Rakornis) with the Population Administration (Adminduk) in Yogyakarta on Monday.

E-KTP freeze policy only applies in Central Jakarta, while Banjarmasin continues to prepare application blank for e-KTP.

Moreover, e-KTP printing to be done in upcoming December 2014 for each area including Banjarmasin, because the appliance is ready in Disdukcapil, he said.

In December, Banjarmasin will accept 2,800 sheets of e-KTP blank, but the printing prioritizes people whose data already recorded, and printing will be done gradually.

To date, 23 thousand people have not received e-KTP, though their data already recorded and sent to the center, he added.
