PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk was named the best issuer (emiten) in the agriculture sector. The award for the issuer coded AALI was presented at the 2020 Bisnis Indonesia Award (BIA).
Senior Vice President of Communications and Public Affair of PT Astra Agro Lestari Tbk Tofan Mahdi thanked Bisnis Indonesia for the award.
"This award is a trigger and encouragement for Astra Agro to continue to be a pioneer in realizing a sustainable Indonesian palm oil industry," he said when receiving the award which was broadcasted virtually.
Bisnis Indonesia Daily regularly holds BIA. The event is held as a form of appreciation to corporations, especially those whose shares traded on the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX).

The 18th BIA with the theme “Resilience in Pandemic” highlights the best companies in Indonesia, who are able to grow and survive amid a pandemic situation full of uncertainty.
The assessment parameters based on the results of the company's financial statements for the 2017-2020 period as well as on the results of the assessment of independent and competent juries in their fields, such as Fauzi Ichsan, commissioner of LPS Prof Roy Sembel.
Also investment expert and IPMI Professor Haryajid Ramelan, Executive Director of the Capital Market Professional certification institute Sigit Pramono, Chairman of Indonesia Institute for Corporate Directorship, and President Director of Jurnalindo Aksara Grafika Lulu Terianto.
