Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Vice Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) Adnan Pandu Praja reveals Commission has revoked 323 mining licenses in 12 provinces in Indonesia and that number will grow due to ongoing examination of thousands of mining permits issued by regional heads.

Adnan, at the coordination and supervision workshop on prevention of corruption along with regional leaders, agencies heads and media in Banjarmasin on Wednesday, said the revocation of mining permits, among other things because of overlapping licenses issued by local government.

In addition, number of licenses are not in accordance with established procedures, resulting in a wide range of issues that harm public.

Not only revoking mining licenses, along with Director General of Tax, KPK also seized three thousand mining companies that do not have NPWP (tax card).

"Companies that do not have tax card spread almost all over the province who have mining sites," he said.

KPK, he said, is now also legal processing some companies whose activities assessed as detrimental to the country. These operations will continue to be done, so that could pose a deterrent effect to the perpetrators.

Regent of Tanah Bumbu Mardani H Maming said, there are several mines in his district now closed because considered inaccordance with procedure and can not be repaired anymore.

He also revealed that, prior to the issuance of clear and clean regulations, mining companies in Tanah Bumbu assessed to be appropriate to lawful provisions. But once the minister's decision on CNC issued, most of mining permits problematic.

But these problems can be improved, in accordance with the provisions established, so the company can resume operations, unless if the problem is big.

But Mardani complained, today many media reports without looking deeper into the issue. For example PKP2B permit is full authority of the central and local governments do not intervene. However when there is
a problem, as if the local government is wrong.
