Head of South Kalimantan Mining and Energy Agency Muhammad Amin, after being inaugurated by the Governor in Banjarbaru Tuesday, said his main task in 2017 will rearrange the mining licenses have been issued by districts and cities.

"Because the authority of mining license already held by the provincial government, then we will reset them to order and goodness," said Amin who earlier was Banjarmasin city government official.

He stated rearranging is not to revoke mining permits have been issued by the district and city, but to evaluate their completeness.

"Those have been officially published by districts and cities still we respect, but what follow will be dealt with province," said Amin.

According to him, the number mines permits given in this province around 640, but only about 50 percent are active. "Most of mines are not working anymore, this should also be evaluated properly," he said.
