Martapura, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - As many as 375 inmates of Class IIA Children's Penitentiary Martapura receive remission coincides 69th RI Independence Anniversary.
Coaching Section Head to Inmates and Protege of Class II Children's Penitentiary, Jaini, in Martapura on Saturday said hundreds of inmates received remissions ranging one month to six months.
"The proposed number of inmates receiving remission of the general and special remission 653 people, but we received an official letter from Kemenkumham (Ministry of Law and Human Rights) only 375 people were approved," he said.
The proposed 653 inmates proposed to receive remission of Indonesia's independence day, consisting of 236 inmates of common criminal cases and as many as 417 prisoners involved in special criminal.
Inmates involved in common criminal is a criminal such as theft, while the particular criminal is a criminal offense such as corruption and narcotics cases.
"Proposal for a general remission is granted entirely 236 inmates, while the special remission of 417 inmates were proposed, only 139 were approved," he said.
Of the 375 prisoners, five people get a remission of six months, 22 for five months, 14 for four months, 113 people for three months, remission of two months for 102 people and 107 people for a month remission.
