The flood that submerged three villages in the sub-districts of Satui and Angsana, Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, continued to recede since Friday.

"The day before, several pivot points in the Angsana area connecting Tanah Bumbu-Banjarmasin were impassable due to riverwater overflowing. Now it has returned to normal," said Head of Tanah Bumbu Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Eryanto Rais in Batulicin, Friday.

Some houses on the banks of the river were still inundated, but not as bad as previous day.

Eryanto explained that the receding of the flood was not significant, because sea water tide was still rising and river water flowing to the sea was quite obstructed.
