The district government of Tapin will prioritize the distribution of clean water to residents in three sub-districts in 2021.

Regent HM Arifin Arpan admitted that the distribution of clean water in the three sub-ditricts, namely Hatungun, Salam Babaris, and Binuang has not been optimal.

"In the three subdistricts, when the dry season comes, there will be difficulties with clean water," he said in Rantau, Friday.

For this reason, the district government will first utilize the clean water source of Tapin Dam to channel it to the people in the three subdistricts.

"While the pipeline will be facilitated by the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR)," he said.

Arifin Arpan said that to implement the plan, there must be a study first, thus it has a mature design.

Head of the South Kalimantan Regional Hall of Settlement Infrastructure Dradjat Widjunarso said ready to facilitate the procurement of piping for clean water.

"Later we will discuss it with the Hall of River Basin Management (BBWS), because that is their domain," said Dradjat during a visit to Tapin.
