To help students learning from home during the COVID-19 pandemic, the social organization Sahabat Balangan Centre (SBC) provides free WiFi network in Taman Sanggam and soccer field tribune of Marthasura Paringin, at the 25b Complex of Paringin Kota.

SBC is known to have various innovations and activities in helping residents, including building and renovating houses of underprivilege citizens, providing monthly basic food, scholarship, blood donor, helping sick poor people, assisting small businesses, channeling assistance independently, self-help or from the government even from the ministry.

While continues to carry out the routine, now SBC is trying to help to facilitate residents, especially students to get free internet networks.

Although it is only provided in the center of the district capital, SBC Chairwoman Dewi Purwanti said, it has been a big help to residents, especially for saving their cost on data packet expenses for distance learning during the COVID-19 pandemic.

"The free internet is actually owned by two members and is paid privately, but it is transmitted for free, so people get the benefit, especially students in the area," she said.

Regarding the location, Taman Sanggam Balangan, it is where the residents and their families used to gather, while Paringin soccer field tribune is an area where stand Paringin Market, Adaro Modern Market, weekly traditional market, elementary school SDN Paringin 1 and soccer-playing area.

She also appreciated that there was already available a lot of free internets, both from Balangan government, as well as the sub-districts, urban villages, and even village governments.
