Regent of Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar symbolically hands over the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry's social cash transfer (BST) to representatives of 181 fishermen and fishing business in Pulau Laut Tengah sub-district, Monday.

The social fund from the Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Ministry (KKP) was channeled through the local Maritime Affairs and Fisheries Office based on the KUSUKA fisher's ID card to determine the eligibility of beneficiaries.

"Make good use of this fund, and let's maintain our good health, because health is very important and most valuable," said the regent.

Head of the Kotabaru Fisheries Agency Zainal Arifin said the total recipients of the BLT in the district is 2.361 spread in 19 sub-districts.

The amount of social cash is Rp600,000 per month and is paid for three months with a total of Rp1,8 million per recipient.

"Recipient of this assistance may not overlap with other social assistance, and we have verified the data," Zainal pointed out.

Present at the handover of aid were a number of SKPD (government working unit) heads, the local sub-district secretary, Forkopimca (the sub-district leaders communication forum), and head of Kotabaru Post Office.
