Banjarmasin Mayor H Ibnu Sina received personal protective equipment (PPE) assistance from the Global Rescue Network Indonesia in collaboration with the Indonesian Rafting Federation (FAJI).

The handover of the assistance took place at the Banjarmasin mayor's official residence on Saturday.

According to FAJI Deputy Chairman Bandi Khairullah, the PPE handed over included 10 hazmat, 150 face shields, and 24 boxes of medical masks. 

All these PPE will be distributed to the community health centers (puskesmas) in need, he said.

H Ibnu Sina thanked the Global Rescue Network for the assistance. He hopes that the PPEs were useful for medical personnel in dealing with COVID-19 patients.

Lately, the city government received PPE assistance from various parties for medical personnel in an effort to overcome the spread of COVID-19 in the city.
