Head of the South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Health Office who is the spokesperson of the Task Force for Acceleration Handling of COVID-19, doctor Siti Zainab delivered sad news about the death of one Patient Under Surveillance (PDP) from the district residents.

She said, the patient with a code HBS-57, was a female (66), resident of Simpur Sub-district, died at 19.45 at the District Hospital of Brigjend H Hasan Basry Kandangan.

"Innalillahi wa ina ilahi rajiun, we again deliver sad news, this patient was previously referred from the Puskesmas Simpur on Friday (June 5)," she said in an official statement of the task force, Tuesday night (June 9).

The death of the HBS-57 code patient brought the number to eight death tolls had reported by the task force. Previously seven PDPs were reported to have also died.

Three of the PDPs died were from outside the district, namely one from HST, one from Palangkaraya, Central Kalimantan, and one from the District of Kotabaru. While five from HSS were two from Daha Selatan, two from Daha Utara, and one from Simpur.

Doctor Siti Zainab also reported the addition of one positive case of COVID-19 to bring the number to 13 cases on Tuesday.

"The current situation of COVID-19 in HSS, 333 People Under Monitoring (ODP), 223 completed monitoring, and the remaing 10 ODP. Then 14 PDP in hospital treatment, positive confirmend case 13, seven in treatment, five recovered, and one died," she said.
