Banjarbaru to Improve Cempaka Diamond Panning

Banjarbaru , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - Banjarbaru Municipal Government began to fix the tourist area of ​​semi-traditional diamond panning in the village of Pumpung, Subdistrict Cempaka.

Head of Banjarbaru Culture, Tourism, Youth and Sports Agency Lesa Fahriana on Monday said improvements will be made ​​to support facilities at the resort, among other places are transit fasility, monuments of Trisaksi diamond, as well as gateway to panning area.

He said the facility improvements needed in the area of attraction to make it convenient and safer for visitors. Then the diamond panning worth a visit, both for tourists from local and outside.

Another step to develop the tourist area is exploring land acquisition. So that the arrangement of the area would be better. So far, structuring and development of the area could not be maximum constrained by panning activities which quite difficult to manage.

Tourism, Culture , Youth and Sports Agency also working with people who joined in the tour consciously to maintain the area .

Diamond panning in the subdistrict Cempaka producing diamond which then processed in Martapura so the town was well known as a producer of diamonds.
