The Central Hulu Sungai (HST) Task Force for Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 conducted a mass rapid test on 736 people, and 14 health workers were found among the reactive.
"During the rapid test on May 14, 2020, the results were 23 people reactive, 14 of whom were health workers," said Head of Disease Control and Prevention of HST Health Office Salahuddin in Barabai, Monday.
Currently the rapid test is continued to health workers at 19 community health centers (puskesmas) in the district.
"Because only 1,000 rapid test kits has come, so it was distributed 20 for each puskesmas. (We) prioritize for medical staff who are in direct contact with patients," he said when answering questions from HST Legislative Council (DPRD) members at a joint working meeting HST with the district government.
Head of Health Agency drg Kusudiarto added, in accordance with the SOP for handling COVID-19, the reactive medical officers were isolated independently at their respective homes and tracking continue to other health workers.
"If not possible at home because of many inhabitants, isolation will be carried out at a shelter (house of quarantine)," he said.
Then, after finished their isolation, they should undergo the second rapid test.
But a legislator Gerindra Party faction Tajudin expressed objection to allowing health workers for home self-isolation, saying it was not fair. While some asymptomatic persons (OTG) from Gowa cluster had before undergone their isolation at the house of quarantine and psychologically bad in society.
Responding this, HST Regent HA Chairanyah said, the health workers were without symptoms and had no ODP (People Under Monitoring) or PDP (Patient Under Surveillance) status. Thus the independent isolation is still permitted at home, but still with the monitoring of officers and they were off duty.
