As many as 9.329 residents of south Hulu Sungai (HSS) received Cash Social Assistance (BST) from the Ministry of Social Affairs (Kemensos). The symbolic hand over was done by Regent H Achmad Fikry at the Kandangan Post Office.


He said the cash assistance from the ministry was distributed to people affected by the COVID-19 pandemic from April to June 2020 in HSS.

"The disbursement of BST is handled by PT Pos Indonesia, then to provide the sense of security this channeling is escorted by the police," he said.

He explained that the BST program was intended for the poor or low-income community to ease their burden in meeting basic needs with the amount of Rp600 thousand for each month from April to June 2020.

After launching and symbolically handed over of the BST at the Kandangan Post Office, regent also monitored BST distribution at the Daha Selatan Post Office.

The aim was to ensure that the transfer of funds ran smoothly and the fund distribution was rightful according to provision, both categories, and requirements.
