South Hulu Sungai (HSS) Regent H Achmad Fikry as chief of Task Force for Acceleration Handling of COVID-19 and Deputy Regent Syamsuri Arsyad saw off one COVID-19 positive patient, with a code HBS-15, male (42), resident of Daha Barat Sub-district, to return home after declared recovered.


He expressed his gratitude to the ranks of the District Hospital of H. Hasan Basry Kandangan for helping to treat the patient until he was healed and returned home.

"With the recovery of this patient, there are no more positive patients being treated at the Kandangan District Hospital, only one of our resident is currently being treated at the Ulin Regional Hospital in Banjarmasin," he said, Sunday (May 10,).

While six Patients Under Surveillance (PDP) are currently being handled by medical personnel are expected to have negative swab test results, so they also will be allowed to go home.

He reminded that the recovery of the patient does not mean that everything ends. This outbreak cannot be predicted, cannot be seen, so people should remain vigilant, restrictions remain in force before the revocation by the authorities.

Specifically to HBS-15 patient, who has been treated for 19 days at the Kandangan Hospital, he advised that after returning home and gathering with family to continue to follow the instructions given by the health officers and to carry out self-isolation at home for 14 days and do not accept visitors from outside.

"We hope that patients who recover when they return to the community can convince people how important is healthy lifestyle, including to wear masks, keep distance, and wash hands with soap," he said.

The recovery of HBS-15 is the third at the Kandangan Hospital, after HBS-5 patient, male (34), from Daha Selatan, and HBS-6, male (69) from Daha Utara, who previously had declared recovered and allowed to go home.

Also present, HSS Regional Secretary HM Noor, Director of Kandangan Hospital Rasyidah, Head of Health Office who is also the spokesperson of the task force Siti Zainab, doctors and nurses in the isolation room who saw off the recovered patient.
