The state-owned companies task force care for COVID-19 handling (BUMN Peduli Penanganan COVID-19) in South Kalimantan through PT Pelindo III Banjarmasin have donated as many as 11.047 Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) in the form of hazmats and masks for health personnel.

All the assistance was handed over to COVID-19 referral hospital, Ansari Saleh General Hospital, the Basirih Community Health Center (Puskesmas) and Banjarmasin Social Office at the PT PLN office in Banjarmasin, Monday (May 4, 2020).

Pelindo III CEO for Kalimantan Region Boy Robyanto, who represented the task force to hand over the aid, said the action as the spirit of BUMN Hadir Untuk Negeri (SOEs Present for the Nation) to take part in containing the coronavirus disease or COVID-19 outbreak in this area.

"Pelindo with other SOEs continue to work together to carry out this action, until the assistance delivered to be right on the target and be of good use," he remarked.

Boy said, Pelindo III itself has provided quite a lot of aid for the handling and accelerating the eradication of the virus, not only PPE, but also washing hand facilities spread at several places in the province.

"We all must unite to fight and eradicate this virus, so the condition will return to normal and all can be happy again," he pointed out.

Meanwhile, Head of Banjarmasin Social Office Iwan Ristianto said, the assistance of 5.000 masks from the BUMN Task Force will be distributed to the public, especially in the traditional markets.

"This cloth mask aid is very useful, especially our city is now applying the Large Scale Social Restriction (PSBB), a market area which has quite a lot of interaction worth of attention, all must wear a mask," he said.

While, Deputy Director of Supporting Ansari Saleh Hospital Banjarmasin Hasan SKM, MM said, the need of mask every day in the hospital is approximately 1.000.

"As a referral hospital for COVID-19 patients, everyone in the hospital must wear a mask, approximately 1.000 masks depleted a day, including for visitors," he explained.

As for medical personnel who treat positive patients or Patient Under Surveillance (PDP) need about 80 protective clothing (hazmat).

"So the assistance from the SOE South Kalimantan Task Force Care for COVID-19 Handling is very helpful for the safety of our medical personnel," Hasan said.
