Happiness mixed with the emotional atmosphere covered as a patient with a code HB-02 BL from Balangan District was declared recovered after undergoing treatment at the Hadji Boejasin Pelaihari District Hospital, Monday (April 20, 2020).


Tanah Laut Regent H Sukamta directly seen off the discharge of HB-02 BL patient who was immediately picked up by Head of Balangan Health Agency Erwan Karya Mega Latif at the courtyard of the hospital.

The medical staff at the isolation room were seen stood in a row to see him off as he got out using a wheelchair. A medical officer dressed in a complete personal protective equipment (PPE) helped to push from behind.

The 60-year-old man received applause from medical officers and the ranks of the Hadji Boejasin Hospital.

HB-02 BL could not help crying while stretching out his hands incessantly praying and saying his gratitude.

Regent H Sukamta said he was grateful because one of the coronavirus positive patients in the Hadji Boejasin Hospital was cured.

He appreciated the performance of all medical officers and staff of the hospital who provided the best care of this patient.

"We give the highest appreciation of the performance of all medical staff and the ranks of the Hadji Boejasin Pelaihari District Hospital who saved someone's life. You have struggled hard to save the patient. Hopefully our faithful become stronger for the healing of other patients," Sukamta remarked.

Sukamta also reminded that people who exposed to COVID-19 are not disgracing, so don not be shunned or ostracized, instead they must be assisted and supported with mutual cooperation in the community.

"This disease can be cured. People who are exposed to COVID-19 must be helped, we help the family not to be isolated, and must even be assisted cooperatively to support their family life," said Sukamta.

At present, there still two positive patients in the Hadji Boejasin Pelaihari Hospital with code HB-01 TB and HB-03 TB.

"We pray for their cure. Hopefully they will follow this patient from Balangan who can recover and return to his hometown," Sukamta hoped.

Meanwhile, Head of the Balangan Health Agency Erwan Karya Mega Latif said, he represented Balangan Regent and the entire people of Balangan to thank Hadji Boejasin Hospital for caring and serving their citizen who was positive for COVID-19 until recovered.

"We sincerely thank the medical staff and the ranks of Hadji Boejasin Hospital for treating our patient until he recovers," said Erwan.

Erwan also added that his agency would disseminate to the public that the patient had recovered from COVID-19 in order to be accepted back in the community.

The discharge of the recovered patient was also attended by the Commander of the 1009 Pelaihari Military Command (Dandim) Lt.Col. Inf. Adi Yoga Susetyp, Tanah Laut Police chief AKBP Cuncun Kurniadi, Head of Tanah Laut Health Agency Hj Nina Sandra and  Director of Hadji Boejasin Pelaihari District Hospital Isna Farida.
