Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - Tajau or keg craftsmen in the Village area of North Kuin, subdistrict of North Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, reduces production since entering the rainy season.
"The barrel, which is made from sand and cement, dry slowly When rainy season," said Yusuf, a craftsman here on Saturday.
While tajau demand from buyers also decline, because people do not need to add tajau to holds water.
"So as of this moment we produce at most three pieces in a day," said Yusuf, who was assisted by two other workers.
Sabri, other keg crafter around Kuin, said in the dry season he used to produce 3-7 pieces with varying sizes. For the keg of 25 liter content of water he sale Rp 30,000 per piece and Rp65.000 for a keg size of 45 liters of water.
"Most of customers come from Barito Kuala (Batola) District and some are from Banjarmasin," said Sabri.
He sell the products in processing place and also carry them to some places using water transportation such as jukung (boats) and kelotok (motorized boat).
From Antaranews observation in some places processing keg in the District of North Banjarmasin, not so much activity seen. While dozens of the barrels, which was displayed keep neat, because there are no buyers.
