As many as nine residents of Banjar District are considered as "persons under monitoring" (ODP), according to data from the local COVID-19 Prevention and Handling Task Force.

"We watch those nine residents whose status is under monitoring," said the spokesman of the task force dr Diaudin in Martapura, Friday (March 20, 2020).

However, Diaudin, who is also the Head of Banjar District Health Agency, confirmed none of the residents of South Kalimantan Province, including residents of Banjar, tested positive for COVID-19.

"An issue says there is a COVID-19 patient in Banjar. We assure until now no Banjar District residents have been attacked or have positive corona," he affirmed. 

He said, one of the nine ODP was known to have been traveling to an exposed area, but he only had coughing and fever, so the results could not be confirmed.

In accordance with the procedures of the handling of the corona case, the nine people are under monitoring until the virus incubation period ends within 14 days. 

"We keep monitoring them for 14 days according to the virus incubation and the progress is continuously monitored by officers who are in the field," he said. 

Meanwhile, Banjarmasin City, HSS, HST, HSU, and Tabalong Districts in South Kalimantan have declared emergency alert status to contain the very infectious coronavirus.
