The Air Force Base Commander (Danlanud) of Sjamsudin Noor Banjarmasin Col. M Taufiq Arasj directly came to welcome and escot the arrival of seven students from South Kalimantan who have just finished the 14 days period of observation in the Air Force Air Base Hangar Raden Sadjad, Natuna, Riau island.


"My presence here is to state that they are healthy, so there is nothing to worry about coronavirus," the commander stated in Banjarbaru, Sunday (Feb 16, 2020).

He said, all process of quarantine in Natuna proceeded smoothly and very well, thus all 238 Indonesian citizens, who were evacuated from China, were declared healthy, including eight students from South Kalimantan.

"One person went home to Surabaya because he was originally from East Java, so only seven who are truly Banjar people go home here," he said.

The commander also wanted to make sure that the students actually meet their families shortly after arriving at the Syamsudin Noor International Airport.

"We congratulate the students on their return to their hometown. Enjoy this temporary holiday while waiting for news from China," said the 1995 Air Force Academy alumnus.

Not only the commander was present. His wife Yumi Rosalinda Taufiq Arasj also seemed enthusiastic about welcoming the students.

The Chairwoman of PIA Ardhya Garini Branch 11/D.II Sjamsudin Noor accompanied by board members gave their congratulation and suggested the students to remain enthusiastic to later be able to finish their education in China.

The seven students consisted of six from Tabalong District, namely Dhiki Purnama Abdi, Felisia Martha, Munika Candra Kartina, Nadia Ramadanissa Saubari, Risda Astuti, and Septria Niken Pratiwi. While Muhammad Lutfhi Madani from the city of Banjarmasin.

They study at two leading universities in Hubei province, Cina, namely Hubei University of Science and Technology and Hubei Polytechnic University.
