The District Government of Balangan through Communication and Informatics Agency (Diskominfo) applies Indonesia's 112 emergency service.

Head of the agency Syarif Ubaidillah through Head of Public App Development Slametno here on Friday (Jan 31, 2020) said the emergency service is applied throughout cities and districts in the country in 2020, including in Balangan.

"This is part of the national program of smart city to support Smart Nation and to respond the challenges of the fourth Industrial Revolution (Industry 4.0), due to limited access of emergency service, spreading in a number of areas, agencies with different number those need to be integrated," he pointed.

Why 112? He said this is an international standard, not paid or can make a call without credit (pulsa), and in some conditions can make an emergency call without SIM Card.

"This service will encourage the implementation of emergencies according to SOP and available dashboards, such as incident data per city, the performance of emergency service and others," he said.

Head of Balangan Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) Alive Yoesfah Love said he really appreciated the 112 services, which is needed in emergencies, increasingly integrated, do not work alone, and faster service to the community.

According to him, the Indonesia 112 emergency service can immediately be realized with the collaboration of Regional Apparatus Organization (OPD) and other agencies, the city or district government, diskominfo, fire brigade, transportation agency, health agency, BPBD, police, and BMKG.
