The South and Central Kalimantan power system was confirmed to return to normal after previously experiencing disruption in Sunday (Jan 19, 2020) afternoon till night due to natural factor from lightning strike.


The PLN Communication Manager Syamsu Noor here on Monday (Jan 20, 2020) said, 145 PLN feeders (channel supplies electricity from distribution station to distribution transformer) have returned to normal at 15.50, thus the electricity to customers has also back to normal.

"This time, we can ensure that the electricity system which was previously distrupted has recovered 100 percent. Power supply again has been enjoyed by customers after the blackout," he announced.

PLN, he said, was grateful because the process of normalizing the transmission network, that was interrupted by lightning strike, could run safely and smoothly without any significant obstacles in the field. 

PLN, he said, at the same time ensured that all information that says the normalization process takes days is not correct.

"We make sure all process of normalizing the transmission network has been completed and there are no more areas affected by disruption in the form of blackout, both in South and Central Kalimantan," he stated.

PLN apologizes for the inconviniences caused by the disturbance. PLN thanked customers for their patience and support of all parties during the process of normalizing the electrical system.
