Kotabaru, South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - Ministry of Housing (Kemenpera) provides self-housing construction program (BSPS) for 344 houses of poor families in Rampa, North Pulaulaut, Kotabaru District.

Head of Kotabaru Cipta Karya, Settlement and Housing, H Akhmad Rivai, here on Thursday said the agency originally proposed 532 units of houses in Rampa and Semayap to get the stimulant funds.

"But only 344 units for the poor in Rampa village considered meet the requirement," he said.

He said there is still about 37 units of houses of the poor in the village Semayap have not been approved. He hoped that they would receive assistance of stimulants program on 2014 budget.

BSPS for underprivileged residents in Kotabaru this year amounts to about Rp3 billion . The funds will be distributed to 60 KK (families), each will receive Rp15 million, while 280 other families will each receive Rp7,5 million.

Rivai explained, house improvement will be made in accordance with the working drawings, either repair of the roof, walls and floor. Implementation of home improvements done in groups and supervised by members of the local Makodim (military command headquarters).

Regent Kotabaru H Irhami Ridjani thanked to Kemenpera, because the local government has three more years proposed for stimulant aid and has finally been realized.
