Bakung Dalam Mud Lift Champion

Banjarmasin , South Kalimantan ( Antaranews ) - Bakung Dalam Team won the main prize as champion of mud lift race held by Banjarmasin City Government and Korem 101 Antasari at Jafri Zamzam River on Sunday ( 29/9 ).

Not in vain came from far away. They came from the village of Sungai Bakung, Banjar District, and managed to win the grand prize of Rp10 million.

"A contest is a synergy program of Water Resources and Drainage Agency in the field of dredging and river embankment of Jafri Zamzam beside raising public awareness," said Muryanta, Head of Water Resources and Drainage Agency of Banjarmasin.

The competition takes place in two stages, each stage take 30 minutes with a 20 minute rest period. 32 teams took part in lift mud race. It produces Bakung Dalam Team as champion with 799 point followed by Jumali scored (708), Iwan Ray (634), Rahman Kusuma (628) and Dhaha 10 (608).

"Through this activity we invites people keep clean the environment because it is a shared responsibility," said Col. (Inf) Suharjono, Commander of Korem 101 Antasari.

While the government of the city plan to hold this event alternately in every village through which the river to raise public awareness to preserve the river.
