The University of Lambung Mangkurat's Law Faculty opens up chance for its students to study at the Youngsan University, South Korea, in a short course program.

"For two student who passed selection will be facilitated all expenses to study at the Youngsan University in January or February 2020," Dean of ULM Law Faculty Prof Dr Abdul Halim Barkatullah said here on Friday (Nov 15, 2019).

He revealed that the cooperation with the Youngsan University has been agreed when his party visited the Ginseng Country last week. Previously the was a MoU between the rectors of the two colleges. Then the law faculty followed up what had been agreed between ULM Rector Prof Dr H Sutarto Hadi and the leaders of Youngsan University.

Under the agreement, a number of strategis program will be implemented, one of which is short course. Then next semester, a visiting study will be held by ULM law students at Youngsan.

"So, our students have a lecture for six months to later gain sertificate and experience at the global leve," Halim, the younger professor (42 yea old) in law in South Kalimantan, pointed out.

In fact, he added, Youngsan, one of the best campuses in South Korea located in the city of Busan, also offers double degree lecture.

"For example, our studet takes a lecture for three years here in ULM, then the next one year lecture over there. Thus he gain two degree at once," Halim explained.

But he admitted, the program cannot be realized yet, until his faculty has international class as a prerequisite.

"We have been thingking of opening international class to go to global level. Insya Allah, please pray for us, next year we will bring a lecturer from abroad to teach for some time at the ULM's Faculty of Law," he said.
