The Barito Kuala (Batola) Regent Hj Noormiliyani AS launched e-book application to en-courage reading habits among residents.
The program initiated by the Batola Library and Archive Agency (Dispersip) is an IT and digital commnucation-based library service through e-book.
The app was launched at the sideline of morning exercise and was marked by turning on television to acces the online service of the library.
Noormiliyani, who was accompanied by head of the agency Hj Harliani and other heads of government agencies then visited reading cafe and reading performance called "gelar tikar baca" held by the Dispersip in Marabahan.
Here students of state senior high school of SMAN 1 Marabahan together read various collection and reference books owned by the Dispersip.

Storytelling presentied by two South Kalimantan storyteller, Jamal and Irga, was inspiring and and quite amusing.
Previously at the launching of e-book app, Noormiliyani appealled to Batola children to have a high reading interest seeing that reading can form a new useful mindset in improving the quality of life and competitiveness.

To the students, she told that she was very fond of reading, until she read all kind of book, either biography, history, and encyclopedia, or others.

“We need to increase interest in reading among the community, one of effective way is by presenting e-book like this,” she said.
