Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (Antaranews) - The government of Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan, through Sanitation and Landscape Gardening Agency (DKP) plans to produce electric energy from its garbage.
"We intend to produce electricity on-site of waste piles in Final Disposal (TPA) South Ring Road (Jalan Lingkar Selatan), Village Basirih," said Head of Banjarmasin DKP Mukyar here on Saturday.
He said if the government of Banjar District, South Kalimantan, has managed to turn scrapheap into electricity, from landfill they manage in TPA Padang Panjang, so why not Banjarmasin do the same.
