Preparations to open a number of new doctoral programs (S3) at Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) continue to be mature. One of which is the Faculty of Law saying they are 100 percent ready.

"Two professors and 25 doctors are ready to support the ULM Law Science Doctoral Program later, so in terms of human resources our lecturers have fulfilled it," said ULM Faculty of Law Dean Prof. Dr. Abdul Halim Barkatullah here on Wednesday.

The submission progress in the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education, said Halim, has been proceeding after ULM Rector Prof. Dr. H Sutarto Hadi submitted a proposal to the ministry.
"We are very happy it has proceeded with the ministry. So now at the Faculty of Law we are preparing if we can start the lecture immediately," he explained.

In addition to the readiness of lecturer HR, Halim revealed a more representative arrangement of the reading room. According to him, the S3 program is the highest level of study that requires in-depth research, thus library facilities must also be of quality according to doctoral study standards.

Like a tit for tat, the ULM Law School recently received a grant of more than 10 thousand books from the family of the late Dr. Abdurahman SH MH, a supreme judge who is also a lecturer in the ULM Law Faculty.

"Alhamdulillah, the collection of books of the late Dr. Abdurahman is extraordinary, especially foreign language books. God willing, in September 2019, we will inaugurate the Reading Room of Dr. Haji Abdurrahman, SH MH, which will be the forerunner to the establishment of a representative reading room for the Faculty of Law that supports S3," said the youngest Legal Studies professor in South Kalimantan.
