Lambung Mangkurat University (ULM) is preparing for the opening of six new doctoral degree programs (S3) and is expected to be immediately realized in students submission in the academic year of 2020/2021.


"The rector has signed the letter for the opening of the Doctoral Program and then we send it to the Ministry for review," said Director of ULM Postgraduate Prof. H. Ahmad Suriansyah, MPd, PhD during the release of master and doctoral degrees and hand over of 2019 Postgraduate Program alumni in the Postgraduate Building Hall ULM in Banjarmasin Tuesday.

He hopes that the Ministry of Research, Technology and Higher Education approves the ULM application, so that there will be more choices in the field of science to achieve the highest academic degree.

The six Doctoral Study Programs which are now prepared by ULM are Environmental Sciences, Management, Legal Sciences, Social Agricultural Economics, Management of Education, and Health Medicine.

"ULM currently has 23 Masters Programs with two accredited A namely Education Management and Agricultural Social Economics. It's time for us to encourage the opening of more doctoral programs to accommodate the wishes of many S2 graduates," he explained.

Currently the doctoral programs available at ULM are only exact sciences, namely the Doctor of Agriculture Science Program. Lastly in 2018 ULM opened a regular class Social Sciences Doctoral Program in collaboration with Airlangga University Surabaya.
