Deputy Chairperson of the TP PKK Banjarbaru City Eny Apriyati Darmawan Jaya participated in the dissemination of HIV/AIDS as an effort to prevent transmission of the disease, especially from mother to child.


"This activity is very important because it informs the public about the prevention of HIV/AIDS transmission as well as hepatitis and syphilis," she said when opening the socialization on Monday.

The activity at the Health Office Hall in Banjarbaru was also filled with social services for pregnant and pregnancy exercise in the 68th anniversary of the Indonesian Midwives Association (IBI).

She said, the future of a nation depends on success in achieving optimal growth and development in children, including prevention of HIV/AIDS.

"HIV/AIDS is a contagious disease so prevention measures must be taken. One of them is to prevent transmission from mother to child, especially for pregnant women in Banjarbaru," she said.
