Regent Kotabaru H Sayed Jafar and his entourage conducted a Ramadhan safari, as well as socializing regional regulations regarding oil palm transportation in Pantai Village, Batu Mulia, South Kelumpang District.


Head of Kotabaru Transportation Agency H Rizan Fahriansyah said on Monday that according to the task of the Transportation Agency, one of them would be to control the transportation of oil palm which is not in accordance with applicable regulations.

"We will conduct a raid on the palm oil and other freight transport fleets in Pulau Laut Barat and Hampang sub-districts," he said in a press release.

Overloaded transportation in addition to violating the provisions stipulated by the government also resulted in the road being damaged quickly.

The Ramadhan safari activity was continued with the submission of assistance from the Regent to Baitul Rahman Batu Mulia Mosque in the amount of Rp.15 million, assistance for the 2019 Regional Budget for the management of Baitul Rahman Mosque in the Village of Pelacanan, Kelumpang Selatan District of Rp.65 million.

After the handover of aid, the event was filled with religious lectures delivered by Habib Kadri bin Usman Al Idrus and continued with iftar together, then evening prayers in congregation.
