Tanjung, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - PT Adaro Indonesia continues to be committed to improving education and preparing better future generations through its social responsibilities.
Through the Adaro Program, Turn on Science, the company provides Adaro Bright Future Leader (ABFL) scholarships to prepare future leaders who have intellectual intelligence as well as integrity through education.
The recipients of the ABFL scholarship, said Operation Section Head of the Adaro Bangun Negeri Foundation, Deri Anggraeni, were given leadership training as well as being trained in entrepreneurship until later they could run business in groups.
"In addition to leadership training, scholarship recipients will get entrepreneurship training," explained Deri.
This year YABN targets 25 ABFL scholarship recipients in Tabalong, 25 in Balangan and 10 from North Hulu Sungai.
YABN Education and Health Supervisor Agung Nugroho said there were 66 recipients of ABFL scholarships in Tabalong, Balangan and North Hulu Sungai last year.
While the training involved three parties, namely Adaro, the executor of training the Global Leadership Center, and Lambung Mangkurat University as scholarship beneficiaries.
Last year, from the Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) program, Adaro built two dormitory units with a total capacity of 200 people at the ULM Banjarmasin campus and renovated rusunawa (low-cost rental apartments) in the ULM campus in Banjarbaru.
All students who get ABFL scholarships will stay in the dormitory at the same time given character education.
