Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - The Banjarmasin City Office of Library and Archives began designing the construction of a three-story library building to be realized in 2021.


Head of the agency H Akhmad Husaini here Friday said the library building would be built in the Kamboja Green Open Space (RTH) area, Central Banjarmasin.

"There is a former city government office over there. Details Engineering Design (DED) will be made in 2020," he said.

The cost of building of the library, said Husaini, will use the state budget (APBN) funds. "It is estimated that it will cost Rp15 billion," he explained.

According to Husaini, the central government has agreed to help build a library for the provincial capital, because so far it does not have one.

"Our library is currently borrowing old building of historic house aka greenhouse next to the Anno 1925 house at Siring Piere Tendean," he said.
