"So we bring storytellers when the library car is in school. This is different from last year," he said in Banjarmasin on Sunday.
"It will attract more students when our mobile library car is around," he said.
In fact, he said, the usual mobile library cars only operate twice a week are now increased to four times.
According to Akhmad Husaini, there are two mobile library cars to visit schools, especially in the suburbs. One mobile library car has at least 1,200 books with 600 titles.
The enthusiasm of students to welcome mobile library cars is quite high, both at the level of Junior High School (SMP) and Elementary School (SD).
"The percentage is around 80 percent of the students who borrow books to study," he explained.
Akhmad Husaini revealed that mobile library cars schedule more schools to be served from around 400 elementary and junior high schools in the provincial capital.
"We continue to strive to foster interest in reading, because this is important to educate them," he explained.
Akhmad Husaini stated, there were around 10,000 more books available at the Banjarmasin library on Jalan Piare Tendean or adjacent to the Siring Martapura River.
"In 2021, we plan to build a library with three-story facilities in the green open space of Kamboja," he concluded
