Rantau - Tapin Fisheries Agency will receive five packages of activities in aquaculture whose budget is obtained through the Special Allocation Fund (DAK) of Rp500 million more, the agency official said.


Head of Fisheries Cultivation Division at the agency Bambang Purwanto in Rantau, Tuesday (1/15) said the five aquaculture packages are tilapia minapadi (combined farming) worth IDR197 million, patin pond cultivation IDR104 million, carp fish pond cultivation IDR55 million, tilapia fish cultivation IDR42 million, and catfish pond cultivation of IDR 109 million.

"The total number of fisheries recipient groups in 2019 is as many as nine groups," he said.

The nine groups, said Bambang, namely the Sederhana, Maju Bersama, and Mina Karya groups in Bungur Sub-district carrying out the tilapia minapadi cultivation package.

For patin pond cultivation are the Tambak Harapan group in Candi Laras Selatan (CLS) Subdistrict, and the Titian Harapan group in Binuang Subdistrict, while for carp pond cultivation in Binunag Subdistrict carried out by Sumber Rezeki group.

In addition, the cultivation of tilapia ponds for the Sinar Pebaungan Jaya group in CLS Subdistrict, and catfish cultivation for the Andika Mutiara group in Central Tapin Subdistrict and the Mandiri group in North Tapin.

"Each group will receive four items, namely preparation of ponds, feed, tools, and fish seeds," Bambang said.

Bambang hopes that with the help of DAK it can further stimulate farmers to carry out aquaculture in increasing productivity and improving the economy.

"Of course we will continue to do guidance and assistance to fisheries farmers in Tapin District," he said.
