"A presenter must have a broad insight, that what interested me in the world of journalism," said Eksa Yola Turshela, the third winner for high school student categories in the 2018 Antara TV Presenter Contest.
The 11 grade student who major in science in SMAN 1 Tanjung, Tabalong, claimed to be interested in the world of journalism since childhood. That's because she likes to watch and follow news shows.
When Antara TV held a presenter race, she saw this as a good opportunity for her to develop herself, practice and sharpen her abilities to the maximum to become a news anchor later on.
"I want to be a news anchor that has its own character that is a distinctive feature for me," said Yola who was once the 2018 Child Ambassador of Tabalong.
According to her, being a presenter is a great job and must have extensive insight because it is required to deliver and present information well and intelligently.
With a strong and deep desire to know more about the world of journalism, she took part in the 2018 Antara TV presenter competition held by the Indonesian News Agency (LKBN) Antara Bureau of South Kalimantan.
The third child of four siblings trained hard. With the abilities she possessed and the support of both parents, she finally managed to set aside other participants who took part in the competition.
The child of Kus Iriyanto and Sriwulyati finally managed to win the third place in the TV Presenter competition.
"I have participated in many competitions and it has become my experience to be able to appear in front of people, thus paving the way for the third place in the Antara TV Presenter Contest in South Kalimantan," said the hijab girl who had won first place in the religious debate competition in Tabalong.
