The market operation we have carried out since today, Monday (2/9), is Pertamina's attempt to answer the news about the shortage of LPG,
Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (Antaranews Kalsel) - PT Pertamina South Kalimantan held market operations for a three-kilogram LPG to meet the needs of the subsidized commodity which price is now rising significantly at the retail level.

Head of the South Kalimantan National Oil and Gas Entrepreneurs Association (Hiswana Migas) Saibani in Banjarmasin on Monday said the market operation would be carried out for 12 days in three regions, namely Banjarmasin, Banjarbaru, and Martapura.

"The market operation we have carried out since today, Monday (2/9), is Pertamina's attempt to answer the news about the shortage of LPG," he said.

Especially in Banjarmasin, market operations are carried out in the LamaMarket, Central Alalak, Kuripan, Mantuil, Kebun Bunga and several other points if needed.

Saibani ensured that three-kg LPG stock in South Kalimantan is sufficient and very much, even since the last few days, LPG distribution exceeded the target.

The need for subsidized LPG in South Kalimantan reached 350 metric tons, but since there was news of scarcity, the distribution is increased to 400-450 metric tons per day.

LPG supplies at the depot, until Monday (2/9) reached 1,450 metric tons, and on Tuesday (3/9) came 950 metric tons to Pertamina's Depo.

"It means that our LPG stock is very much so that people do not need to worry and panic," he said.

Saibani estimates that scarcity occurred because of the stagnation of distribution from base to the community so that the price of LPG at the retail level becomes high.
