Alhamdulillah the whole election run smoothly and peacefully,Banjarmasin, S Kali antan (Antaranews Kalsel) - South Kalimantan Regional Police Chief Brigadier General Rachmat Mulyana ensured the entire series of
2018 regional election (pilkada) on the day of voting simultaneously in four districts went smoothly and the atmosphere was conducive.
"Alhamdulillah the whole election run smoothly and peacefully," he said on Wednesday.
Rachmat who monitored directly a number of polling stations (TPS) did not find any significant obstacles faced by the organizers.
"The enthusiasm of residents is also high enough to come to the polling station in the morning to vote, the atmosphere is quite lively and people are happy to welcome the democracy party this year," he said.
Police chief also thanked all parties for their hard work to succeed regional election (Pilkada), including the community and the successful team of candidates who helped keep the situation remain conducive.
"For the ranks (police), continue to do territorial security and early detection of any turmoil that occurred after the voting," he emphasized.
After conducting initial monitoring in Tanah Laut District, he continued monitoring to a number of TPS in Tapin, such as in TPS 1 Kupang Village, North Tapin Sub-district, accompanied by Tapin Police Chief Adj Sr Comr (AKBP) Bagus Suseno.
Then Chief of Police and entourage of South Kalimantan General Election Commissions (KPU) Chairman Edy Ariansyah and South Kalimantan Elections Supervisory Agency (Bawaslu) Chairman Iwan Setiawan also visited South Hulu Sungai KPU office accompanied by HSS Police Chief AKBP Rahmat Budi Handoko.
Chairman of South Kalimantan KPU Edy Ariansyah said, the results of monitoring and reports of all election organizers in four districts, namely
Tanah Laut, Tapin, HSS and Tabalong, went well.
