Tanjung, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Government of Tabalong, South Kalimantan, is making improvement of its tourist objects, one of which is Liang Kantin Cave in Jaro Sub-district.
Head of Tourism of Youth, Sports, and Tourism Agency Lilis Marta Diana admitted that the number of visitors in Liang Kantin Cave is still low.
"The lack of visitors in Liang Kantin Cave become our motivation to fix this natural attraction to be more interesting," said Lilis.
Although the natural scenery to Liang Kantin Cave is pretty, the narrow road access to the location caused the lack of the number of visitors.
Since 2009 the cave has been listed as one of the tourist attraction in Tabalong District. But its condition is less well-groomed following the amount of garbage around the cave also complained by visitors.
"In addition to paying attention to cleanliness, Liang KantinCave must be equipped with supporting facilities such as toilets and relaxed places," advised Erwin, a resident of Tanjung.
Besides Liang Kantin, in Jaro Sub-district there are other attractions, such as Liang Pundun Cave, Liang Tapah Cave and Tanjung Puri which will also be addressed for the development of tourism sector in this district.
The location of Liang Kantin is about 60 kilometers from the capital town of Tanjung and is located not far from trans Kalimantan road.
