Banjarmasin, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Banua Education Park officially opened with ceremonial inauguration by the Central
Family Welfare Movement (PKK) Chairwoman Dr Erni Guntarti Tjahjo Kumolo on Saturday.
"The facility will continue to be added and completed, so it really becomes a recreational park for the family as well as a learning place about many things in the park," said PKK South Kalimantan Chairwoman Raudatul Jannah Sahbirin Noor here.
The park which is built in the former area of South Kalimantan PKK Park was also known as Taman Maskot Bekantan. It is now equipped with various facilities as a vehicle for education as well as playing for children such as railway locomotives, traffic parks, police house, libraries, water docks, and other children play
rides.
Wife of South Kalimantan Governor H Sahbirin Noor also said, development of Banua Education Park originated from her idea with South Kalimantan Police Directorate of Traffic to build a representative traffic park down in the city.
Then the intention to provide a vehicle to play while learning for the child is realized by utilizing the area of PKK South Kalimantan Park whose condition is quite apprehensive.
As a result, Banua Education Park which is integrated with ten basic PKK Program can now be enjoyed by people who want to bring their children to learn many things in it.
Meanwhile, Governor H Sahbirin Noor appreciated the park which is located beside the Great Mosque of Sabilal Muhtadin Banjarmasin.
Especially with the train that can walk around the park area. "Most of the people of South Kalimantan have never been on a train, and our children have only known from the song, thank God now the PKK South Kalimantan can make it happen," he said.
