Kandangan, S Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - The Regent of South Hulu Sungai (HSS) H Achmad Fikry visited to sympathize a needy and helpless Granny Jumah, a resident of Teluk Haur Village, North Daha Sub-district.
Head of Protocol and Public Relations Division Eko Harjidi Putra at Teluk Haur said Jumah, who is usually called Grandma Ilus, is a widow aged about 75 years.
"The Regent of HSS intends to stay in touch as well as delivering aid in the form of cash and groceries for the daily needs of Granny Jumah," he said.
Jumah said she lived alone without family. He thanked the regent who provided assistance for her life.
"I live alone, no brother no sister, I do not have any children," she said.
She told with the condition of being old, she tried to take care of herself, and sometimes assisted by some neighbors.
Regent H Achmad Fikry requested that the Northern Daha Sub-district Head Lothvie Rahmanie involve Jumah in the Life Insurance Program (Jadup).
In addition, the sub-district head was also asked to coordinate with the health workers at the Haur Village Community Health Center (puskesmas) to visit and check the health of Granny Jumah regularly.
