Amuntai, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Vice Regent of North Hulu Sungai (HSU) Husairi Abdi hopes that the Residential Sanitation Development Acceleration (PPSP) program in this district can improve water supply services for the community, especially in remote areas.
"Alhamdulillah HSU is chosen to be the implementing district of PPSP 2017 program. It is expected that this program can improve the water supply service for the community and proper sanitation," Husairi said in Amuntai on Monday.
Husairi said that through this program the habitual of open defecation in the community will also be reduced, the handling of waste is directed towards environmentally friendly and the reduction of puddles are also targeted.
He asserted synergistic cooperation of all parties is necessary so that the sanitation acceleration program is able to run optimally and not be used as a side sector anymore.
Opening 'kick off PPSP 2017 at Agung Hall Amuntai, vice regent hopes kick off momentum can push all parties concern to acceleration of sanitation development, because the recognition of various circles including government agencies to sanitation sector is still very low.
Head of Development and Infrastructure Development Division of HSU Syaifullah said the sanitation program is a public health supporting factor, but not all stakeholders, including the government, have been paying attention to sanitation problem that makes sanitation a lagging sector.
