According to him, using non-iodized salt to kill germs is safer in the environmental aspect, while using chlorine gas is big enough risky when the tube leak.

"When chlorine gas tube leak, the radiation can reach a radius of eight kilometers. Of course, it harmful to health," he explained.

However, Muslih asserted, chlorine gas is not dangerous when mixed with water. This means that it is safe for consumption. He said he still uses chlorine gas at the Water Treatment Plant (IPA) Jl Pramuka in East Banjarmasin.

"For this, IPA also located quite far from the settlements, anyway it has very strict safety standards," he said.

Salt disinfectant system is more efficient, but can not be realized immediately in all of IPA, because procurement of tool need a high cost.

"However, it is quite easy with chlorine gas, water quality even higher," he said.
