Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan 22/12 (AntaranewsKalsel) - Criminal Investigation Unit of South Banjarmasin Sector Police is conducting an investigation into the finding of a body in a sewage next to Don Bosco School.

"The body was firstly found by residents and reported to the police," said Chief of South Banjarmasin Sector Police Commissioner Andi Wijaya here Thursday.

The old man's corpse was found on Thursday morning at around 7:40 pm in a ditch beside the school in prone position and wearing a blue jacket and dark pants. Part of victim's left ear was bleeding.

According to him, from the data obtained the victim identified as M Hasan (70), resident of Jalan Tembus Mantuil RT04 Gang Mekar Sari, South Basirih Village, South Banjarmasin.

"The victim has been evacuated to the Ulin General Hospital mortuary for post mortem," said chief police.

Andi also said that based on the investigation, the victim was died because of a fall and his head hit stones. In addition, the results of police investigations in the field the victim also has a history of epilepsy.

"There was no other indications, no sign of violence found in the body of the victim that lead to crime," he said.
