Rantau, S Kalimantan (ANTARA) - Acting District Head of Tapin, South Kalimantan, Syariffudin is campaigning fish consumptioon movement or Gemarikan at the stunting focus location (locus) in Lokpaikat Sub-district as an effort to improve nutritional quality of community.
“Increasing nutritional quality and people's food quality towards balanced nutrition is an important aspect in building a quality human resources,” he remarked here, Wednesday.
For this reason, he said, it is necessary to encourage programs that develop culinary aspects and consumer knowledge through various nutritional education, counseling and campaigns.
“Gemarikan is a national program to increase people's fish consumption,” he said.

This campaign involves many parties, including TP PKK, from district to sub-district level. The active role of these parties is to help the government to make people fond of fish.
Head of Tapin Fisheries Office Parianata said in pushing the Gemarikan program his sides going down directly to stunting loci.
“We also creaste fish cultivation program in several stunting loci to meet food needs, especially fish,” he said.
Parianata said that in the future his office will increase fish farming villages with the aim of increasing fish production which will have an impact on the community's economy.
