Banjarmasin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - South Kalimantan will be the third province in Indonesia to implement e-Samsat (online vehicle document registration) after East Java and West Java.


Head of Revenue Development of South Kalimantan Revenue Agency (Dispenda) Hadi Purwanto said the idea of an online application system in Samsat in South Kalimantan has been long time, but preparations began with a study visit to East Java, which has been applying it since May 2016.

"Currently, the online application in the process of building and developing electronic engineering by the Dispenda IT team and the Bank Kalsel," said Hadi Purwanto after the MoU signing between Dispenda head Gustava Yandi and President Director of Bank Kalsel H Irfan in Banjarmasin, Friday (5/8).

The signing of the MoU is a first stage on which to base the work preparing e-Samsat, then into a cooperation agreement in its application to make it easy for taxpayers.

"For the convenience of the public, Samsat service quality should be improved such as the application of online technology," said Dispenda head Gustava Yandi.

In the early stages of implementation of e-Samsat, people make vehicle taxes payments via ATM or across the branch network of Bank Kalsel.

As in East Java, the application of e-Samsat not directly available in the gadget or mobile-phone, but gradually. Likewise in South Kalimantan, since the current Bank Kalsel mobile banking services are in the process of applying for licenses in the Financial Services Authority (OJK).

"Later when Bank Kalsel mobile banking service is already available, the entire service transaction can be done through mobile devices, including vehicle taxes that can be done at home," said President Director of Bank Kalsel H Irfan.
