...Tanah Bumbu Regent Mardani H Maming thanked to the sub-district and village government for they moving fast and responded to the poor in order to receive assistance from the local government.Batulicin, South Kalimantan (AntaranewsKalsel) - Vice Regent of Tanah Bumbu, South Kalimantan, H Sudian Noor visited Grandma Sariyah's house which is located at Jalan Kodeco KM 3, Sub-district of Simpang Empat, to provide assistance.
Grandma Sariyah (80), one of poor residents whose homes are included in the home renovation program of the Government of Tanah Bumbu.
She was excited when viaited. She was grateful for the local government's attention to the needy people through social assistance provided in order to improve the welfare and health of disadvantaged communities. Grandma Sariyah lives with her grandchild, who has a mental retardation.
"Thanks we've been taken care of and assisted by the government. Not only groceries but also cash," said grandmother Sariyah to Vice Regent H Sudian Noor and his entourage.
H Sudian Noor handed food assistance in the form of a sack of rice, chicken eggs, cooking oil, instant noodles, and essential supplies for the purposes of daily meals.
Wabup visit to grandma's house accompanied by Head of Simpang Empat Sub-district M Sairi, Gunung Besar Village Chief M Yamani, and officials from Kesra (People Welfare) and the Social and Labor Agency.
Head of Social Affairs at the Social and Labor Agency Agus Salim said the grandmother Sariyah is among residents who received home renovation of the Ministry of Social Affairs.
He said to renovate the house to be livable it cost about Rp15 million per house.
Earlier, on Friday (29/7), government officials from Satui Sub-district and West Satui village also distributed social assistance to Mrs Bulkiyah. She is a poor resident and paralyzed.
She was given the Social Welfare Protection Card (PSKS), Indonesia Sejahtera card (KIS) and BPJS Health card. Mrs Bulkiyah will receive assistance with raskin (rice for the poor) every time.
Not only from the district and village government, but help for needy people also came from the PKK (Family Welfare Movement), either of capital or of rural PKK, for Bulkiyah.
